Dealing with color was a consistently important theme for the painter Taiji Kiyokawa. This exhibition traces the trajectory and development of Kiyokawa’s pursuit of color. Some of his works are distinguished by the gentle tones of oil paint, while others are structured around the placement of several planes of color. Some paintings are based on white, while others create a resonance between lucid acrylic colors.
